Meet theoretic: Jersey raised, Brooklyn trained. Olivia “Liv” Minick, is a DJ, producer, educator, keyboardist, & so on…entrenched in the beating heart of Brooklyn's underground music scene. Their sonic craft spans a fusion of House, Techno, Disco, Garage, & soul music that gave way for all these pivotal elements in the evolution of Black club music. Their style is a symphonic medley that compels even the most restrained feet to move.

Breaking boundaries & setting precedents, theoretic stepped onto Broadway as the pioneering DJ for the acclaimed show, The Collaboration, starring Hollywood luminaries Paul Bettany & Jeremy Pope in the winter of 2022-23. Among their diverse portfolio of clubs, vinyl listening rooms, and private events, theoretic has held a DJ residency and meticulously curated monthly party series at Brooklyn's beloved Jupiter Disco since 2019 called 'house anatomy.' The party series has been a staple & features like-minded musical guests. They've graced the stage at acclaimed venues like Elsewhere, Eavesdrop, Good Room, Outer Heaven, Mood Ring, Nowadays, Cafe Erzulie, Soho House, & beyond.
